This book is a collection of researches from the Taiwan Studies Project research team of Bina Nusantara University. This book consists of three parts. First, the relationship between Indonesia and Taiwan in the context of the New Southbound Policy. This part describes the collaboration scheme of the Taiwanese government, industry and high school in Indonesia to improve human resource competencies by providing scholarships for economically disadvantaged Indonesian students to study in Taiwan. It also illustrates the obstacles faced in implementing the New Southbound Policy in Indonesia due to the language and culture constraints of Taiwan and Indonesia.
Second part discusses about cross culture. Through cultural acculturation research, it is hoped that Indonesia and Taiwan will better acknowledge each other's culture and realize the similarities in culture, especially in the Potehi puppet show, which is still performed in Taiwan today by using Hokkien. Whereas, the Potehi puppet show in Indonesia already uses Indonesian regional languages besides Hokkien. Also, the influence of Chinese culture on Betawi Bridal Dress. This closeness in history and culture is expected to be the glue of Taiwan and Indonesia relations.
Last, the third part illustrates the BINUS University lecturers' visitation to Taiwan. They visit several places and Indonesian young people who obtained a scholarship from university in Taiwan. From this visitation, readers will better understand the good intentions of the Taiwanese government to help the development of the Indonesian economy by providing opportunities for young Indonesians to become educated and trained personnel when they graduate from higher institutions.

Prof. Dr. Tirta Nugraha Mursitama, Ph.D. is a professor in International Business. He currently serves as Vice-Rector for Research and Technology Transfer at Bina Nusantara University. He was a Head of International Relations Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Bina Nusantara University from 2012-2019. He received doctoral degrees in Strategic Management from Gakushuin University, Tokyo, Japan and a second Ph.D. in International Relations from Padjadjaran University, Bandung, Indonesia. 蒂 爾 達 教 授 ， 國 際 商 務 教 授 。 2 0 1 2 年至2019年8月，他曾擔任建國大學人文學院國際關系系主任。他目前擔任建國大學研究及技術轉讓副校長。 蒂爾達教授 在日本東京高雄大學 （Gakushuin University）獲得戰略管理博士學位，並在印尼萬隆巴查查蘭大學（Padjadjaran University）獲得第二個國際關係博士學位。 Dr. Shidarta, M.Hum. is a faculty member at Bina Nusantara University, where he was the Head of the Business Law Department in the Faculty of Humanities (2014-2020). He received his master’s degree from Gadjah Mada University in 1994 and his doctoral degree in Law from Parahyangan Catholic University in 2004. He founded the Indonesian Association of Legal Philosophy (AFHI) and the Forum of Competition Law Lecturers (FDPU), in which he once served as the chairman of both. He has published more than 50 books and book chapters on legal philosophy, professional ethics, legal theory, legal reasoning, consumer protection, and business competition. 徐考明博士，人文碩士，雅加達建國大學教教授兼人文學院商法系主任,學院的法律部主任，他於2004年獲得印尼萬隆萬隆天主教大學（Parahyangan Catholic University）博士學位，1994年獲得加查馬達大學（Gadjah Mada University）碩士學位。2011年，他成立了印尼法律哲學協會（AFHI），並擔任主席。目前，他是商業競爭講師協會主席。他出版了50多本有關法律哲學、職業道德、法律理論、法律推理、消費者保護和商業競爭的書籍和書章。他的書《推理的法律和法律推理》（2013年）是印度尼西亞許多法律研究生課程中使用的必修教材。他曾是高雄（台灣）正修科技大學和華沙（波蘭）科茲明斯基大學的客座講師。 Dr. Yi Ying, M.Lit., M.Pd. is a senior lecturer who serves as Former Head of the Chinese Department at Bina Nusantara University (2003-2007, 2016-2019). Currently, she is the Research Coordinator of the Chinese Literature Study Program. Yi Ying was a guest lecturer at Cheng Shiu University in Kaohsiung (Taiwan) and Shenyang Normal University, China. She is also the examiner for the Mandarin Language Certification Examination in Indonesia. Yi Ying holds two master’s degrees from Xiamen University, China major in Teaching the Mandarin Language and Christian University, Jakarta, Indonesia in Management of Education. She pursued her doctoral studies in the Curriculum Development Study Program at the Indonesian University of Education, Bandung, Indonesia. 林雪莹博士，文學碩士，教育碩士。是建國大學中國文學研究項目的高級講師。她曾任建國大學中文系的系主任。現任中維系研究主任。林雪瑩博士曾在臺灣正修科技大學、中國河北師範大學講座。林雪瑩博士也是印尼普通話認證考試的考官。她擁有中國廈門大學（語言學及應用語言學）和印尼基督教大學（教育管理）兩個碩士學位。她獲得萬隆印尼教育大學教育大綱發展博士學位
